Durable unbreakable glazing solutions for travel centres, bus stations and platforms. Both the light weight and hard surface of Hammerglass make it an excellent choice for roofs, walls, lifts, etc. The nano-technological surface treatment facilitates the removal of graffiti and also provides 99.96% UV protection, which means that the material will not discolour or undergo any other change in visual quality over time. The estimated lifespan of Hammerglass is more than 40 years.

Flexible vandal-proof glass solutions

Hammerglass offers unbreakable glazing solutions for roofs, walls, platforms, lifts and balustrades. Clear or coloured Hammerglass panels up to 6 metres long and 4-20 mm thick offer customers and architects great freedom in project design and construction. If larger sections are to be glazed, the individual panels can be joined together.

Fixing can be done using clamping profiles, Hammerglass Fixpoints or project-specific fixing solutions. Fixpoints can also be used to create a gap between the wall and the glazing pane.

Another advantage is that the glazing material can only be cut to size after the basic structure has been assembled, with each glazing cut-out and fastening element being measured individually with a 3D laser and then transferred to a CAD drawing for production.

Wall sections and roof structures

Clear wall sections and roof structures with hammered glass panes mounted on existing structures or project-specific profiles, e.g. an L-profile with clamping profiles in the glass joints for waterproof sealing. Each section to be glazed is measured individually, then the glass panes are cut to size.

Glass for staircases and lifts

Entire external lift towers with heights up to over 10 metres or just a stair railing? We have shatterproof glass solutions for both stairs, escalators and lift connections - either in existing installations or in completely new steel structures. Mounting the handrails directly in the Hammerglass panes works very well.

After the steel structure has been assembled, the measurements are taken in order to optimally fit the Hammerglass panels. The glazing panels are fixed throughout with the Hammerglass Fixpoint system to ensure optimum strength.

Glazed footbridges and bus shelters

Entire construction projects are often carried out while the railway is in operation. This means that it must be possible to erect most structures directly next to the track area and then lift them in. Our fitters insert the screens while the steel skeleton is still on the ground and then lift the entire structure. This kind of lifting is practically impossible with ordinary glass, as movements in the structure would lead to glass breakage.

All the panes were measured and manufactured individually. Even if the steel construction does not match the drawing 100 %, the assembly of the panes goes smoothly.

Undamaged and clean weather protection

Hammerglass modular shatterproof bus shelters, replacement of glass in existing platform shelters or glazing in a completely new structure. Hammerglass panes are flexible and can be shaped to fit curved profiles.

Safe pedestrian subways and bicycle tunnels

Illuminated pedestrian subways not only provide a safer environment and increased safety, they are also visually appealing. An opal, colour-impregnated or printed hammer glass pane with LED lighting creates an attractive point of light in the darkness at night.

In the case of graffiti, markings or other soiling, most known cleaning agents and chemicals can be used for cleaning without damaging the Hammerglass panes.
